Please join us in our prayers for the quick recovery of Kuya Nestor who just had an open surgery last Saturday at Union Hospital due to excessive pressure on his left leg. Kuya Nestor starts noticing the pain during our basketball practice two weeks ago. He may stay in the hospital until the muscle pressures subside for the doctor to close the wound.

Weʼd like to thank everyone who prayed for me and my family. Thank you to those who visited me in the hospital as well as those who offered prayers and sent their get well wishes thru e-mail/text, phone calls and messages thru the Palaro Sports Committee (PSC) blog.
Through your prayers, both surgeries went well without any complications (no nerves were damaged, which was my greatest fear). Through your prayers, the swelling/pressure on my left leg subsided just in time for my 2nd surgery last Tuesday morning, thus skin grafting was not needed.
Weʼd like to thank the Simbulan family who took care of Aika and Alyssa while I was in surgery and every time they got bored in the hospital. We are also deeply thankful to Dr. Mel Madarang who gave his advice and assurance from the time I was in the emergency room until I was discharged from the hospital. He checked on me daily, making sure everything was alright.
My orthopedic doctor did not give me any timeframe as to when I can walk normally again. Right now, I walk using crutches. The wounds are almost healed now but I need to stay in bed most of the time as I was advised to raise my left leg as much as possible to prevent swelling.
We ask for your continued prayers for my quick and full recovery.
May God continue to guide and bless us all.
