With TFC's Paul Nicdao missing his outside shots at the beginning of the first half, combined with GK's defense stopping TFC's fastbreak, Ryan de Gracia waxed hot as he drilled in four unanswered triples which gave GK the momentum early in the first half.GK's Leo "the Bull" Yanogacio, flanked by Mario Salazar and Chris Clemente at the paint, provided the height advantage over TFC's centers. The triple-center threat, ably supported by Jeff Wang, Ryan de Guzman, Carlo de Guzman and Ian Clemente showed how deep GK's bench was over TFC.
Not to be rattled, TFC's three-speed-trio of Alex & Rudolph Santos and Paul Nicdao went to work to mount a last ditch rally in the second half. Team Captain, Miguel Sanchez and Ray de Vera controled the rebounds to compliment TFC's pressing defense in the middle of the second half. This ignited TFC to a 14-4 fastbreak run which shrunk GK's lead to a mere 5 points at the two-minute mark. TFC, in a mad scramble to catch-up, utilized a flurry of substitutions to foul GK players at each possesion. TFC's attempt to stop the clock and hope that GK misses its free throws at the other end didn't have enough time to succeed.

Ryan de Gracia was chosen as the Championship Game MVP while Leo "the Bull" Yanogacio was the hands-down pick to be this year's PALARO 2008 MVP due to his consistency and all-around brillance around the paint.

It's good to note that PSC's favorite team - TFC - was beaten convincingly by the Warriors. This will put to rest the TFC's obvious favoritism for TFC.
On another note, what happened to the MISS PALARO contest? I heard there was a lot of brouhaha there. With all the hype and voting, not one award was given? Not even a note of explanation...hmmm..is it because TFC's muse didn't win it?

In fairness to PSC, and all the teams who joined this years league, I think this is one of the BEST, if not the best, run Fil-Am Basketball league I've ever seen so far. Napaka-organized and very professional. Sa sobrang commitment ng mga league organizers, ina-allow pa nilang magbigay kayo ng OPINION through this forum.. sang ka makakita nyan BigJ...! Kung PIKON KA, TALO KA!
Btw...congrats din kay Mr. Scribbs..galing mo, sir. Gulat ako nung sinabing nasa championship games ka, Lumipad ka pa from Kansas, Misouri. Please lang, I didn't want to slight TFC with my previous comments. If you took my comments as an offensive remark, then it is you who should stay out of this blog (bigj_basher). If you can't handle the opinion of others, then stay home and be a loner.
Look at this forum, below you will still see that 7604 votes were cast during the voting for the muse. Go to their website and prominent is the hype for the search for Ms. Paad Palaro. Hey I voted too and I am not ashamed to say I voted for the TFC and Titans muse. But what irks me is out of the 7000+ kuno who voted, only 2 or 3 are questioning the non-results of muse voting. Am I missing something here? Or are these votes a farce?
Again, I have no disrespect for GK and TFC or any team. Congratulations to both teams!! You gave us one good championship game.
My issue is the silence of PSC on the muse voting, where even our usually vocal webmaster is mum about it. Hmmm... C'mon PSC, all this effort for a bunch of roses?

It is so obvious that the survey/voting got hacked.
This is not hard to do since no accounts needs to be setup.
You just need to change or mask the IP and then you can create a script to hit the website.
There is some way to trace the culprit but I think Scribbs just opt not to take that route.
Anyway in fairness to everybody, PSC called out and recognize every muses during the awarding.

Here's my point: So what if they masked their IP and voted a thousand times in one IP? What is the violation there? Sa mga reality shows nga you can vote as much as you can, bawal ba yun? And if it is not allowed, did they state in their voting rules? Nasaan ang voting rules? Kung meron, pakito mo nga sa akin.
This is the only rule that they stated in PSC's website (let me cut and paste):
Only ONLINE VOTES will be counted and you, the fans, have all the say in the search for Ms. PAAD PALARO 2008. Online voting ends at 1:00 AM, August 2 - EST.
And to emphasize my point, "AND YOU, THE FANS, HAVE ALL THE SAY..."
Therefore, if we the fans have all the say, then we should also be the ones to tell PSC if this is cancelled or not.
Now they're all silent. Scribbs need not trace who voted what or who voted where - THERE IS NO POINT FOR SCRIBBS TO GO THAT ROUTE because THERE ARE NO VOTING RULES.
Now because they did not have voting guidelines they should award the muses based on who won.

As I recall, it's an open voting system where anyone can vote for multiple muses. I wonder why scribbs designed it that way? If you are in the know its no secret that online voting are not secured unless there is a secured registration tulad ng sabi ni theRealMcCoy. then there is a glaring absense of voting rules as pointed out by bigJ. Dagdag pa ni BigJ fan-voting nga 'to. Marami ngang butas 'tong contest na 'to so dapat lang ng explanation if the contest was cancelled. With 7000+ votes and maybe half a unique voters, the PSC has the responsibility to issue a statement. Kundi dapat lang magreklamo tayo!
PAAD / PSC has already issued a statement through email. If you have not received it then maybe you do not belong to any of the teams ie you're a fan. I bet all the teams already understood what had happened to the muse online voting contest.
Sino bang nanghingi ng muse contest?? The muse contest was just brought up in this blog. The bloggers asked for it hence moderator put it up. This contest was not done before. Maybe as far as PSC is concerned, they have already explained their side. Let's just stop asking about what happened to the contest. I for one, voted too. And my muse should have won! I was disappointed when they didn't give the award but after a while, I didn't think about it anymore. For me, what's more important is that I enjoyed the Palaro this year. As others have said, it was the best by far! One itty bitty tiny glitch won't take away the appreciation I have for all the PSC's efforts. Kudos to PSC!
